Hi guys, I've just gone to renew my car for the first time since purchased and I noticed that the vehicle is registered and green-slipped as a 2008 model. (2008 was the compliance year for importing, 2003 was the build year)

I have had a similar issue previously with my locally built Mitsubishi 380 - some genius managed to register it as an LPG vehicle so when my first pink slip inspection came up, I had to pay out of my pocket for a blue slip and RMS fees to have it changed to just petrol.

Has anyone had to update vehicle details before with the RMS? I would like to avoid having to arrange and pay for a blue slip, and RMS fees make me seethe and i refuse to give them more money than absolutely necessary.

However, I am unsure if this will lead to an insurance liability? Other than the year being incorrect, vehicle description is OK and insurance premium doesn't seem to change

Cheers!

Mick
