Hey folks. After doing a few track days, my catch can is empty. Is this normal? I have it set up like Hamish did here http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/129549-oil-catch-can-mounting-and-roughting/page-2

Can someone shed some light on why this may be?

Cheers

Amir

depends on the health of the motor too..

My 400000km motor coughs up about 5/10 mL of oil after a full day of thrashing on the track and loads of rev bashing and runs 1.4bar on the track opposed to 1.6bar on the street.

Which is pretty good, unless it has been rebuilt in the past (which I can't tell it has been).

Wow your motor has done that many KMs and still goes hard? Makes me less worried about my 175000KM motor which I thought was too high

Don't worry chances are your engine has done way more k's than that already ;)

I just assume that the odometer has been wound back multiple times from all the dealers and previous owners.

It shows 144xxx kms, come on can't be real lol

Some clown said my '96 R33 with >230,000km was too high for him. I asked him how much more he would pay me if I had it wound back to show whatever number he thought would be right for him.

I bought it with 57,000 on the clock in 2001 and it is possible it was genuine then.....but then again. :whistling:
