Roll Back

Hey all

I have a r33 manual and when its parked in gear in my drive way with no hand brake it still rolls back.

The drive way is sorta steep. I just didnt think it would or should in gear??

Do you have the clutch pushed in at the same time?

What gear are you leaving it in?

No clutch. Just sitting in gear 2nd 3rd or 4 th does it. Even first at times

Fairly slowly. Like not like its not on at all

Actually the more I think about it im thinking clutch related. As some times it jumps slightly when foot on the clutch and starting. Like its not disengaging properly. Slave cylinder or something

If it rolls in 1st, must be a big hill or she's got low compression.

Obviously the higher the gear, the easier it is to roll away.

The engine will always slowly turn over so that's not surprising at all. I wouldn't consider it a sign of a problem.

Well that just settled it. Asked a mate aro7nd who also brought a mate, they live close. Put a manual 32 and also a manual supra on it. And both slowly rolled also.... looking at my drive way it is steeper then I thought!!

Have you ever driven along in 3rd at say 50kmh and then taken your foot off the accel pedal and left it in 3rd?

Same principle, if its on a steep hill it will start to roll and there is nothing your engine can do about that. Originally sounded like it was just a slight grade on a driveway but now sounds like its super steep so not suprised

Thanks mate. oh yer its preety steep! i have a series 3 lip on my gtr, and i had to raise the front a bit to get it half way up my drive way and under my carport. even still it scrapes and hits!
