2000 Mitsubishi Station Wagon VERADA. 186,XXX ks. $2250

Low K’s, Rego end of July 2015.

Fully loaded Verada Station wagon.

Has been a great family truckster, but it’s time to bigger as the family keeps expanding. In the 4 yrs we have owned it, it has never let us down.

The good bits:

Comes with all the standard Verada options like:

Woodgrain interior

Kick ass stereo with 6 stacker

ABS / TC / Climate AC / Cruise / Airbags / electric windows / self- adjusting mirror etc.

Alloy wheels

Also has some accessories such as:

Tow ball

Removable cage

Roof rails. (Racks don't come with it)

Recently it has had a full service with:

Gearbox flush and fluid change (Penrite)

Engine oil changed every 5000kms Castrol Edge 10/60

New brake pads and rotors machined

New front tyres (still have the rubber nubs on them)

Car is mechanically solid and the engine is a peach.

If something does go wrong parts are stupidly cheap for this thing as there are 11billionty Magnas at the wreckers.

The not so good bits:

Despite waxing the juzeebus out of it the paint is wearing thin on the front of the roof and the clear coat is coming off on the drivers side front panel.

The old verada was probably Grandpa’s axe and has heaps of small carpark dings. It is also missing part of the front grill on the left hand side when Wifee collected a dead hoppy thing. Still passes rego no worries, I just haven’t bothered fixing it.

Just PM / text me for more pics if you are genuinely interested.

Located Queanbeyan with NSW rego.

$2250

    • Yeah it was a good result, and confirming the car is full of fluids and all interior etc in, other than fuel. I think a few pages back (maybe many pages!) he mentioned some serious lightening in the doors with the chassis punch, might have been done elsewhere I hadn't seen yet too
    • He still had the suspension dialled in for him! I would have sworn the lowest weight he ever got to was 1300kg though Maybe Neil had been drilling a LOT of holes somewhere you haven't found yet... 😛 Or has he also drained all the gearbox and diff oil out too, between it, and a tank full of fuel there's about 65kg to 70kg to add back in I'd guess. 😛
    • Yeah this isn't a super complex shape, but I was still happy to buy instead of fab version 1; very little in a modern can is a flat surface, and that is true here again - the undertray has about 50mm in height differences that I would have had to work out myself. I will probably make something more substantial before it does any rally, I don't think 1mm steel is too much use as a bash plate. There is also cooling to think about, Z1 have done a bit of development and have some air holes and louvers in the shape, will see how that works out too
    • If it's been tuned idle rpm can be changed.
    • Very slightly as there are bars connecting both sides of the ramp. The only difficulty that I had was doing the gearbox, everything else so far has been ok
