Fuel Pump Finally Stuffed!

Now I noticed running 10psi my car leans out to around 13.4 when it should be 11/10. Ive heard if I go after market (intank) I cant let the tank drop below 1/4 or I will have surging issues? any truth in this? Whats a direct replacement?

Only true if you're throwing the car around on the track really.

Any of the Bosch high capacity in-tank types (like 040) will go in. People these days tend to be leaning towards the big ethanol compatible Walbro though.

If your looking for a direct replacement get a nismo fuel pump it just plugs into the existing wiring and is mounted on its own bracket which just slides into the same spot where the old one was mounted.

Have not had any problems with mine when I have had a low tank

Ok thanks. Im hoping its also the cause of my cold start and stalling when cold. Im thinking just hard wire it to a swith so theres no possible voltage drop etc

Just ground the fpcm. I used a 040. Now im using a 255lph from walbro. Ive road driven both to the last drop with about 3l of fuel left in the tank. Never had any issues.

Symptoms of a failing fuel pump are usually cold start issues and lean popping while attempting to raise revs with load.

There's a Nismo one f/s atm. I find the Nismo pump takes less time to prime than the Bosch 040.
