I've had a search but can't find the answer.

Is there any way to tell if a car is an import? I have a client looking to buy a 2007 Bentley but we're not sure if it's a grey or an AU delivered. Is there a government register I could look it up on or something to that effect?

Yes, I've also spent a fair bit of time on Google but have come up with nix.

The compliance plates,

I haven't sighted the car and the guy buying it wouldn't know where the bonnet is let alone how to open it or where to look for the compliance plate. This is an issue which is going to arise for me from time to time so wondering how to find out without access to the car.

Check door jambs for a big pink or yellow sticker as well as the firewall or strut tower tops

don't mean to come across as rude but If this guy can't open a bonnet he really shouldn't be in control of a car, they don't make it that hard...
