Can someone help me out ive just got my car back from the tuners and he has said i need to replace my ford idle control valve as its not working with a haltech icv , and shed some ligh on how to get this done or if the ford tb is even a good idea? setup is a 26/30 in a vl ran by a haltech sport 2000

Ford idle control valve? Is this on the throttle body?

I thought it would have just been a matter of blocking/disabling this and using the standard RB26 IACV.

Can you give any more details or provide photos?

yes its a two wire iac on the trottle body also has a tps , starting to think it may be the tps as it maintains set ecu idle but dies out coming down in revs when thottle is shut ... will provide pics when i get a chance , not running gtr loom all sensors are custom fitted

Using the idle valve to catch a decel stall probably won't work well, there is lag involved. I have a similar issue on my evo atm, possibly related to large injectors, bov return or decel fuel cut. How long did he work on it?

I used an EA throttle on my Stagea, and just blanked the iac off, using the throttle plate adjustment to bump the idle up enough. Have you tried winding some throttle in?
