Race Car Insurance

Hey does anyone reccomend any good insurers for a race only skyline track car? I need it for a fairly high value compared to average gtrs so that rules out normal insurance companies.

I have done a search and someone mentioned pirahna insurance, does anyone have experience with them? They quoted fairly reasonable but wondering on how good to deal with if I ever need to claim. They are underwritten by cgu marine from what I can gather.

I have my Skyline insured with Lumleys. No on track insurance buy insured for in the pits, to and from the event, mechanics and in the shed at home

$660 with NRMA Vintage, agreed value $15k so pretty good. LSV increased the price by almost $500 compared to last year!

Pirahna are brokers, not insurers.

brokers will have access to niche underwriting agencies that the direct public wont.

to name some agencies:(some of these you can go direct, some you cannot)

Dawes (broker)

Enthusiast - both broker and direct

Freeman McMurrick - both broker and direct

Breeze - broker

MB Prestige - both

however the most tried way is Shannons.

also remember, 9 times out of 10 you wont be able to insure it for what you have spent on it...

i.e. buy a 32 GTR for $20k, spend $100k = its not a $120k car
