Premium leather airbag driver seat broken.

It still goes forward and back, up and down on its rail, but it tips when I go around a corner. The left side of the seat tips up. Feels like whatever anchors the seat to the rail has broken - or has come off on the left side.

My questions to the forum are:

1: Has anybody else experienced this?

2: Can it be fixed?

3: Must it be replaced?

4: Secondhand versus new options?

5: Genuine or aftermarket?

6: Any other words of wisdom?

Any advice would be extremely appreciated

Yep, had the same thing.. the seat lifter link arm/bracket has broken on the left rear side of the seat. I dismantled my seat and removed this part and had my brother weld it up and welded in an additional piece of metal to help strengthen it, and all is good now.

I wasn't able to find where to buy just this bracket, only thing I could find was the entire seat base, which cost $$$

Looks like the Nissan Murano had a similar issue and just the arm was available, not sure if it is the same as the arm on the V35 though.

There was a TSB for the same issue in the G35, but since the drivers seat is on the 'wrong' side.. the parts are different.

I also had a same experience, same as sonicii's, I just took it down to local exhaust shop and got them welded. cost me around 80 if I remember correctly.

Make sure your exhaust shop don't break the seat bolt cover.... dkhead I took it to broke all the teeth on mine so they don't stay in place properly..
