Hey everyone!

The other day both my electric mirrors stopped working at the same time.. I have done a fair search on the forum and across the net and couldn't really find much.. All I could come up with is threads where one stops working and the other is fine and everybody seems to say the motor needs rebuilding. But I couldn't find anything about both stopping simultaneously. I really cant see both my mirror motors cutting out at the exact same time so I think I could almost rule out the motors. But you never know I suppose! :P

All I think it could be is possibly a fuse or the switch has crapped itself? The only thing which has me doubting the switch itself is I can still adjust the mirror glass itself up and down and left and right..

Does anybody know if there is a fuse for the electric mirrors? My fuse diagrams are both in Japanese obviously and I have found English diagrams but couldn't really come up with a definite fuse. I would like to try a fuse before I chase up a switch.

Any help is appreciated!

Cheers Pete

The fold In part or the actual mirror movement?

If its mirror movement then im not sure about you but I rarely adjust mine so maybe they just failed over time sitting

If its the mirrors folding in and you use them all the time then that may be a different story

This is all a guess, but they may suffer the same problem as R33 mirrors. There are 2 contacts with a single plastic mount to hold them in, they sometimes fall out.

Have a look at the guide for the R33 mirrors (Pretty sure there is one in the DIY section)

If they are anything like the R33 mirrors, they arent too hard to pull apart, just a bit fiddly to get everything packed back inside. If your up to it, try pulling them apart and having a look
