Hey guys, just wondering how to remove the part highlighted by the red circle off a power steering pump:

I've unbolted the two bolts which I thought were holding that plate, unfortunately I was wrong.

Any assistance is appreciated, thanks.

You don't want to unbolt the plate. The slot in the plate is there to stop the banjo fitting from rotating away from its correct position when you either loosen or tighten the banjo bolt. That would be the hex on the top of the bit you circled. It's just like any other similar oil fitting. Put a ring spanner on it and turn it. Presto, it will all come apart.

Yeah, that's what I assumed.

However I promise you I did attempt at undoing the hex on top, however the whole unit spun and got stuck due to the slotted plate stopping the rotation, haha.

Any ideas or do I just need more elbow grease?

Thanks
