boobeedoobee
Hi, which is a better kit quality wise or are they pretty much the same? I want to put one in my 32 gtr Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/451660-jun-27-stroker-kit-vs-nitto-27-stroker-kit/ Share on other sites
KiwiRS4T
I would get an RB30 myself but if you are set on a 2.7 I would go for the local product. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/451660-jun-27-stroker-kit-vs-nitto-27-stroker-kit/#findComment-7442813 Share on other sites
Mick_o
^^ So much what he said! At least go 2.8L! If you're at engine out & build stage it makes more sense to build the biggest capacity motor you can in my opinion Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/451660-jun-27-stroker-kit-vs-nitto-27-stroker-kit/#findComment-7442826 Share on other sites
M@&k
Don't Nitto have a 2.9 offering now too? Or perhaps that was still in development. Or maybe I dreamt it... BakemonoRicer
JUN is still miles ahead.... The kit itself has been used on a number of 8 second cars. Too bad HKS discontinued their Step 3 kit that thing was tasty as well. Mick_o
^ Im pretty sure the nitto kit is just a "rip off" of the Jun kit anyways. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/451660-jun-27-stroker-kit-vs-nitto-27-stroker-kit/#findComment-7443003 Share on other sites

MrFijiGold
There is a R32 GTR in brisbane with a nitto 2.8L. It makes 994.7kw at the wheels. Yes kw not hp. That says a lot. OP, talk to your engine builder. GTRPSI
I would get an RB30 myself but if you are set on a 2.7 I would go for the local product. I agree, the poor mans stroker. Crack a block, bend or break a crank, spin a bearing and for a few $ your reletively out of the shit. Im not a big fan of strokers due to cost when things go wrong. boobeedoobee
Btw I don't want an rb30..I want to stroke the engine I have just wondering what is the best tried and tested kit to go for Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/451660-jun-27-stroker-kit-vs-nitto-27-stroker-kit/#findComment-7443079 Share on other sites
Piggaz
You're stroking it a whole 2 mm. Hardly worthwhile (gains vs cost) when there are setups with longer strokes that still fit in the stock block out there. NISR32.5
Pretty sure Nitto do a 2.8 and 2.9 kit. Don't think it's listed on their site. Give them a call. I would love to go the RB30 option but it just doesn't fit well in a 32 GTR so a stroker is the next best thing. GTRPSI
Im doing one now in a 32 GTR. Clutch booster, bonnet reo removal and fan hitting the shroud are the issues. Biggest one is keeping the RB30 block road legal in that model, cant be done. Its the biggest plus to stay stroker, nobody knows whats in the factory block. boobeedoobee
Yep I think i will get plenty of horses from a stoked engine with the right add ons...so nitto are the goods? XKLABA
If nitto does a 2.9, do that, otherwise BC do a 2.9 and Anthony made 800+kw from one I believe but could be wrong in NSW now you can +20% capacity providing it is from the same engine family, RB30 can now replace an RB26 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/451660-jun-27-stroker-kit-vs-nitto-27-stroker-kit/#findComment-7443257 Share on other sites
