I believe if the block is older than the car it has to meet the emission standards of the model of car its in.

ie it would have to be bone standard and im240 tested etc

doable on e85...but e85 needs an aftermarket ecu....so technically not legal.

is modified...so not legal.

but would they pick it?

it's one of those things Mafs would need to be standard. injectors turbos etc

way to much effort to have a legal rb30....which for it to be legal would make 250kw

so imo build a 2.8 or 2.9

legal in the sense of using the oem block yes.

subject to capacity limits...but not many engieers will ask you to strip and engine to check...especially as it has all the factory numbers.

usually record of capacity is only needed if you were putting a turbo ls1 or something in a 32. where a ls7 7l looks the same as a 4.8l LS truck engine

actually...has anyone checked to see if darton 90mm sleeves could be used.

use a BC or spool 2.9 crank and rods with custom 90mm pistons.

might have to be siamese bore so cooling down the back of the motor might not be great.

would make it a short deck 3015cc RB

I built a Nitto 2.8 stroker and then i sold it.. Iam now starting my Nitto 3.2 stroker build. I would only go with Nitto (for strokers) because they're local and are proven to hold massive power.
