trying to confirm some info i have been given, unsuccessfuly so i might as well just ask.

in later years i.e.94, did the R32 gtr adopt an early version on the R33 RB26?

if so, what were the main differences?

any other differences with late model 32gtrs?

if im spastic and missed some informative sticky post just redirect me.

I suppose what you're asking is, "Did the late R32 26s get the better oil pump drive?", because that's really the only noticeable difference between the engines AFAIK.

And I may be wrong, but I thought that the change from skinny to full fat collar was in 1991.

Correct from in 1992 they had a full drive collar.

Does not mean by any stretch of the imagination that the old oils pumps won't fail. I had a failure which dropped a bearing.

20+ year old super cars needs attention and love :)

The longer collar is built into the crank, not a actual collar added on, its part of the crank.

No it does not stop oil pumps from breaking.

Edit, just to add, it does reduce the chances of breaking a oil pump by speading the load and wear across a larger area, however oil pumps still break with the long nosed oil pump drive cranks.
