Well, at the moment, I'm thinking about doing two years there (Unless I hate it)... rural one year, urban the other. ;)

I think rural would be best first, with visits to the city... I get a bit funny around *really* big crowds, so maybe the country would be best... but there'll be no super-autobacs out there. :P

Excellent descision, thats what I did, and I don't regret anything...

I live 5 minutes away from an autobacs - and can order any part from the autobacs catalogue. Super autobacs is 1 hour away (on the mainland) - but there's no point going (except to enjoy the place) - as I can just order what I want.

we finally got our superautobacs in Yamanashi earlier this year, so I'm now able to spend hours wondering about the store...but even so, as DaiOni said, you can order just about anything anyways...

the only downside to moving from one place to another after a year, is the money you'll waste on things like deposits and key money for apartments...

Speaking of caravans....in over 5 years I've never, ever seen a car towing one. If I head down to the five lakes area near Fuji you'll see a couple of cars towing boats, but in general most people don't have tow bars and don't often tow anything...

and I thought you disliked super AB

Do they have caravan parks in Japan?

I'd chain my 34 next to it ;)

T.

yes there are caravans and there are caravan parks...just not that many when you can pretty much stay anywhere within a reasonable price when traveling around the country side.
