The problem with the DE is that it has weak internals as well, the 5AT with a valve body upgrade and TCM tune can be made to handle some power but the engine will also have to be beefed up.

Friendly piece of advice, avoid GTM like the plague. Look up what they've been doing on the370z/myG37 forums. Stillen SC kits unfortunately did not make decent power on the VQ35s.

Just to compare, I have had my little VQ25det running 300-350kw for the last 5 years or so, stock... All you need is a set of sturdy rods installed and you could easily make 400+kw on ethanol with a single low mounted hidden turbo off a VQ25det manifold.

Scotty you have tempted me. Could you pm me some more info about what I'll need to do to run a setup like this on my car? And when you talk about running ethanol is that the e85 with a dual map setup?

I used to run a dual map, just in case I couldn't find e85, but in 5 years I have only gone back to petrol once for a trip to Sydney. Now I have the missus A4 there is no need to worry. (about 50 servo's in Melbourne these days.)

I could perhaps be persuaded to part with my GTX3071 setup which would easily smash a set of VQ35 rods. It would be very responsive on a 3.5L with the Tial 1.06 turbine housing, good for 350+ at the wheels. Otherwise custom fitting a turbo would be a lot of fabrication, as there is nothing available now the HKS 3037 kit was discontinued.

Sikky and fueled racing make a bolt up kit for the ls v eights, when you factor the extra weight of supercharging or turbocharging inc all the plumbing it's about the same, and the cost about the same. I know which one I'd rather have!

I know I'm a bit late to the party, however I was just working my way through some old emails and saw this. I have been toying with the idea of getting a Stillen supercharger for a while now, however it's for the 2014 Q60 S (VQ37), I know they have ones for your model also. Stillen does seem the way to go. I will put a link below for you.

Also there is an awesome business in Sydney, that specialise in our cars. - I'm not affiliated with this mob at all, I have just read some great things about them. I'm in S.A , so I don't get to use them unfortunatey. The place is called Tunehouse - link below.

This looks like a great all round site.

Good luck with it all. I will be interested to hear how you get on. Also, if anyone else has gone down this path, (preferably for the VQ37, sorry to hijack thread.. please let me know)

I had a look at the video on the Stillen site and came across this video of a 370GT (G37) that had been twin turbo'ed... Nice package but the exhaust sound would drive me crazy after a while...

Thanks Nightcrawler.

Believe me if i had the cash i would go the GTR in a heart beat but for now i'm sticking with this "family car" ;)

I thought my V36 was running about 230kw from the factory already but maybe i'll just start buy getting it dyno'd to see what i'm starting with and then go from there. Anyone have any recommended places in sydneys west, blue mountains, or hawkesbury area?

AutoTech Engineering in Granville, NSW ($120 for 2 Graphs, 1 with AFR's & the other Torque).

Both laminated sheets will have speed & rwkw)

Let me know how you go.

Because my aim is to reach in the high 100's after a chip is installed :)

Check this Infiniti G35 Coupe (633rwhp) beat a stock Nissan GTR R35!!! ;)
