No, engines run better hotter because they reject less heat into the cooling circuit, increasing efficiency.

Ever wonder why the Neo's thermostat is 10° hotter than the old RB25?

Haha, oh ok, so you have been in a car that has gone from the stock thermostat to a low temp one that was been setup and tuned properly to be able to see if there really is a difference

Could be cause it is a JDM engine and to counteract the cold intake temp of the colder climate, gods knows, I know I don't care why they did it, ever wonder why Nismo still make low temp thermostats even for the current range of engines

What I do know is my 32 makes 293rwkw on stock turbos and with that has run 11.36@125mph in a full weight car on 18s and at the start of this year I filled it up at shell St Clair then drove it to Orange and back and when it came off the mountain it had a little over 1/4 tank and went on to do 650km from a tankful and guess what, it has a Nismo thermostat, how's that figure into your efficiency theory

I have also seen the datalogging from the dyno with different water temps so have seen first hand the difference in performce/power from it when tuned properly

Now Im sure you have read it somewhere and think your right, but I have seen the practical side of it and now your wrong, there is no difference how they drive in this climate, I have also been through this shit with you before so I'm not going to bang my head against the wall debating this with closed minded one sided persons

Nismo thermostat is for track. Just like the nismo water pump

I built a full forged engine etc etc. Still only used a nissan oem thermostat. Its street driven. I have zero temp issues

You can tune around it but its not the best on a power fc due to ( as discuss here) the lack of points to tune for wtr temp vs fuel correction

Most modern cars run around the 90 degree mark.

Ill say it again. The Nismo thermostat is for track cars. The car will perform fine if it is tuned to the adjusted water temp correction, but they are designed to go in track cars
