Do some reading in 'what you have done to your stagea' thread and other associate threads as there is alot of information in there. Also look at m35 parts pinned thread. These will be helpful to you and will stop the repost issues where people get shitty with.

@kiwirs4t.......... what kind of cooler was it again??? ;)

Trust me i did buddy, theres so many pages and lots of times not sure what people are talking about, also as you can see some things are not available now ..

Have you looked into adaptronic's e420d? They have an inbuilt map sensor and base maps to get the car running. Target afr, closed loop tuning, aux outputs for boost soleniod etc. and great customer service and trouble shooting. Hypergear on here sell them

I checked with scotty about the adaptronic, and he never fitted one so guess emanage is the way to go unless adaptronic has some advantages that are worth it over the emanage

Pretty early days for the Adaptronic; and without a fair bit of manufacturer support & development, it may not go that far.

Josh is certainly doing his bit to push it forward; I hope they help him & his tuner out.

I thought bricks was tuned by an e420d? Made 230kw on his m35. I know DVS JEZ did another m35 with adap. And it's deff been a proven product as a piggy on r33's, 2 ppl have made 280+kw still auto.

You really need to do some reading up onboat the ecus shon. Write down all of the points and then compare them, but at the end of the day, it's scotts call on what he wants to use.

At this stage my car is the onky one running the Adaptronic. The other car is where mine came from (jetwrecks) he had his oil pump fail a couple of weeks after the install (not related to ecu) and had catastrophic failure so parted it out. I grabbed it. The tune on my car is fine, the things still to work out are all related to my cable throttle setup, nothing major though just working on idle stuff. Jetwrecks car was tuned to around 270+kw with standard throttle and all was good. Running 3076 and 620cc injectors.

The issue you will find down south is having someone to install and tune it for you. But if you did find someone it is a great option.

I am looking at converting to the 440D ecu so I can get a flex tune. Mmm e85 goodness

I have been reading through the forum and from what i understood is with EMU i cant get the maximum out of the car. its ok by 250kw for more id need to go with Adaptronic, the thing is im looking to max out the car to a point where is still reasonably realiable, I wont be driving it every day, it will be more like few thousands kms a year, but still wouldnt want something to blow up every time i floor the gas pedal. When I said 300kw would be nice i mean with ethanol conversion so not sure if emanage would be suitable. What im worried about is lag and gear change, is there any difference between EMU and Adaptronic when it comes to lag and gear changes.

And if theres no one in Victoria that can install and tune Adaptronic? Then theres no point thinkning of it i guess.

My M35 on a first tune put out 243 kw's at 19psi on 98 octane using an EMU and retaining the factory AFM. Have a look in the "what have you done to your stagea lately" thread back in November last year for the dyno chart. I'm not sure what E85 would yield as it is not really obtainable where i live at this stage.

I am certainly more heavy footed when driving but i don't really notice the lagg after driving it for 2 months now (i'm not saying lag ins't there but i have certainly changed my driving style to compensate)

Overall though i'm not really sure why i would ever want more power... I'm more concerned now about how the power is applied. I'm looking into things like the brake mod and things like that. I'm sure i'm not the only one that dreams of having a manual M35 too but after reading up on it for longer than any other mods i'm 99% sure it will never happen.

thanks buddy.. So was that without exhaust and inter cooler upgrade? I think im getting 10000 injectors coz of the ethanol conversion...But ive goot ss2 highflow as well and getting scotty's front and down pipe ... Hows the lag comparing it to the stock?

Thats with full 3 inch exhaust, dump/front pipe, 3 inch intake and HDI cooler. I went 725cc injectors which were fine. I assume there is more power to be extracted from my current set up but it's not high on my priority list at the moment.

Oh and I am also using the ss2 Highflow.

Lag compared to stock after 2 months of driving like i said it is noticeable but it takes nothing away from my driving experience. Far more noticeable in my opinion is how the turbo no longer runs out of puff at the top end when you put your foot down. That's just my opinion.

I mean at 3k rpm it's building boost fine and you do have to wait that tiny bit longer but with the power i get out of current tune i'm very pleased with it.

That is the kit for an AWD; the VQ25det doesn't come in 2WD, na dis the only turbocharged M35 model

Many owners are using this exact kit; it's a very well finished set-up, and it fits very nicely.

You will also need a replacement Air-con thermo fan; the OEM one fouls the cooler core.

Yeah i was thinking this one
