So after having my Blitz duel EBC sitting in the box for 3 years I finally got off my arse and installed it today. One thing has got me a little concerned thought. I noticed when installing it that it has only 2 wires - power and ground. I'm used to installing things with a fuse and also an ACC wire too. Sure enough, I reconnect the battery and "bing" boost controller is on.

Now Im sure Blitz aren't stupid and they have been making these things for years, but what kind of draw will this thing have on the battery? Is it perfectly ok that its always on like this?

Who else has one and noticed this?

thanks

I would have assumed this, but the instructions state to connect to power and not ign. Im wondering if it would loose settings if power was lost, ie if it was connected to ign and you turned the car off. Any ideas?

it assumes a person that is installing it has some common sense..

this means you will need to connect it to your ignition +ve & fuse it, alternatively (I've seen it done with other workshops).. connect it to your headunit's ACC power without a fuse.. as you're essentially using the headunit's 10 amp fuse..stupid option because when you leave your keys in ACC to listen to music your EBC is on.
