Hanzie
Hey, i have just finished installing a new head gasket for the first time on this engine, i am about to install the intake plenum and air ducting, but i still have these 4 brackets left to attach, im not sure where abouts they go, and i dont want to put the plenum on before putting the brackets on, if someone could point me in the right direction that would be helpful, if possible could someone post pics? Hanzie
The black bracket on the top right has been located and installed I think the bottom left bracket may go just above the exhaust manifold?? Aggroman
top left and bottom right attach to the lower side of the intake plenum.. Bot right is central holding knock sensor cable and attaches to the big part of the loom top left goes near firewall, the little notch against the plenum it should be straight forward from there Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/452290-rb25de-bracket-locations-help-needed-pictures-included/#findComment-7454760 Share on other sites

Hanzie
And was I right about the bottom right bracket going above the exhaust manifold? Aggroman
bottom left goes on the manifold as part of the heat shield. My advice is to put the lower half on and connect what you can... If you look at the bottom half you will see all the associated holes with thread in them, they almost line themselves up when you do it all. Looking at it again I think the top left one goes towards the front end and holds the grey injector loom plug and helps with the TPS wiring and such Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/452290-rb25de-bracket-locations-help-needed-pictures-included/#findComment-7454837 Share on other sites
Hanzie
Do you mean the bottom right goes towards the injector loom and tps wiring? And top left goes on the plenum? I just wanna make sure cause I think you may have meant to say bottom left instead. Hanzie
Or you may be right and it has that nipple kinda plug that you have to pinch in the holes and then expands to secure itself?
