Air Con Condenser - Possible To Add An Extra Fan? How?

So with the FMIC killing airflow to the condenser (and radiator) I've found that on hot days if I am stuck in traffic the efficiency of the air con drops sharply. It pretty much will pump out warm air but seemingly if I'm driving along at speed the air con becomes cold again. This got me thinking and wondering if its possible to hook up a second fan. As you can see there is plenty of room to add another one- even buying an identical R33 one and slapping it in.

Has anyone done this ? and has it helped? and links to write ups etc? And if so, could I just splice into the same wires for the original fan, do you think?
