I had the RE001 and they were good to begin with and then hardened up like a rock when they were half worn. I switched rims and bought new tyres, and the RE001s did SEVERAL texi days (including lots of drifting and smoke) before finally showing belts. Couldn't believe how long they lasted, far longer than any "shit" tyre I've taken to Texi. Never again!!

Dunlop Sport Maxx TT - great tyre, pricey but gripped like shit to a blanket in the wet and dry right down to the wear limiters.

I can also vouch for the maxx sport TT had them on the evo when i bought it. They are a great all rounder too but i reckon i took them from around 65-70% rubber to the wear bars in around 4000km. That was spirited mountains drives mainly

Might be a bit late here. I've read a lot of reviews of tyres and used several too.

The best I have used in the wet are Michelin Pilot Sport 3 - just mind blowing. I did a 2 day Tarmac Rally which was wet, sometimes with standing water using the PS3 and they were incredible.

A friend of mine is a bit of a tyre nut too, he seems to think his Goodyear Asymetric 2 were a tiny bit better in the wet, maybe 10% better than the PS3 but both outstanding tyres.

Reviews suggest the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are also excellent in the wet.

Some friends of mine have had bad experience with KU36 for a wet tyre, reviews would suggest the same.

My vote would be the Michelin, Goodyear or Toyo.

I've had the Kumho KU39 on my daily for 2 years now, and with all this wet weather we've had lately they have performed quite well, they're a quite tyre on the highway too.

I like KU31's as a street tyre for just normal driving. Plenty of confidence in the wet. I run Yokohamas now (not sure on type) and they are a little quieter but I dont think they are quite as good in the wet.
