Hi i am hoping for a bitof help here, went to change the rear brake pads/discs on my ARX and noticed a crack on the part pictured below.

Firstly, shit.

Secondly, what is it called so i can try and source the part from here or a wrecker.

Thirdly, is this part the same on all m35 models?

Getting it welded is the best option, and if done right should be completely safe.

+1, common fault and a common repair, it will be as good as new. Don't forget to check the other side too.

Well, I've currently got the car loaded so much that it's almost tucking tyre on stock suspension and wheels, and I'm about to hook up a loaded trailer (700kg or so, with 38kg pressure on the tow ball) and drive 200km over typically shitty, winding NZ roads, so I guess it's about to get a reasonable workout.

I kinda don't want to check it, because being a typical male, if I can't see it, it isn't there.
