timmy_89
I completely understand the reasoning for the implementation of the gymhana style event, and completely agree with it. I think it's a great idea to try to even the playing field The RTDC guys ran the event extremely well and there are no complaints from me. As mentioned on the day, there were twice as many runs on the day compared to the Toyota Nationals motorkhana that is run locally. It's great that you are checking in to the timing, who knows, maybe Eric did have an appauling run which put me in front of him on the board , but in the event that there has been a mix up, would be great to see the SAU team in front of the Evo's hehe ^_^ Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/452732-nulon-nationals-2015-round-1-smsp/page/5/#findComment-7468991 Share on other sites
GTRKat
I had to LOL at the fastest HSV club driver being a female in a Ford Focus I get LOL that it's a focus but why does the fact she's female have anything to do with it. No different to anyone else with 2 arms and 2 legs when it comes to getting in a car. XKLABA
For me it makes no difference, I know a few girls that could easy out drive most of the guys I know ( me included ), but how do the big V8 men feel about been beating by a girl in a 4 banger Ford Focus, especially given she entered through the HSV club 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/452732-nulon-nationals-2015-round-1-smsp/page/5/#findComment-7469024 Share on other sites
GTRKat
Probs not that worried given she was with them in the first place. Fairly sure they had a female entrant at Cootamundra last year too. XKLABA
Yeah but was she driving a Ford Focus, cause female by herself doesn't mean much, but female driving Ford Focus in V8 club ( unless HSV has a car that's not a V8 ATM )is what makes it lol for me Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/452732-nulon-nationals-2015-round-1-smsp/page/5/#findComment-7469052 Share on other sites
PN-Mad
Well it was the smartest move they made, cause the other boats didn't stand a chance! We should have entered a field of Micras, pulsars and the Leaf No complaints about the event here either, it was run fantastically, and even though I got the feeling that it was a bit like a duck on water (calm on the surface, crazy as shit under the surface), RTDC held it all together and made it happen. Don't confuse being challenged with having a whinge! Was it challengingly tight compared to the size of our texis? Yes. But who doesn't like a challenge in Motorsport! fatz
I get LOL that it's a focus but why does the fact she's female have anything to do with it. No different to anyone else with 2 arms and 2 legs when it comes to getting in a car. its harder for men to drive due to the dick and balls getting in the way especially when rocking a 6 point harness.... 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/452732-nulon-nationals-2015-round-1-smsp/page/5/#findComment-7469095 Share on other sites
RBrennan25
I agree. I think it's great to have tight texi courses like this in one of the rounds. I mean surely the idea of the nationals is to see how the best drivers are, not just who had the most HP. The thing I also liked about our lads efforts was that sure the track didn't suit us but we still gave it 110% to do the best we possibly could. I saw too many cars from certain other clubs just give up entirely and drive off the track on heaps of runs. Even if we don't move up from where we are now I think we can be extremely proud of our effort and our result Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/452732-nulon-nationals-2015-round-1-smsp/page/5/#findComment-7469096 Share on other sites
GTRKat
It'd be a pretty boring comp if it was no challenge! I still think well done to everyone involved and look forward to smashing it at some of the other rounds! GTR-N1
Congratulations to all in SAU who competed in this here Round 1. Thanks also to Nulon for putting on a competition that makes us do our best in tight conditions on the Texi course.
