Power Window Issue

Drivers side power window does not go up or down, but all other windows work fine,

what could the problem be,

Switch or motor. You will need a milti meter to work it out.

if its the motor where would i get one from and approx how much?

will be going down to my mechanic on monday for him to check it for me.

wouldnt the motor run all 4 switches? and the other 3 windows work so im guessing its not the motor?

No there is a motor for each window. See if you can pull the switch out and short the wires. Driver's window gets most use so wears out first.

There are alot of wrecks in the country now so there should be plenty of motors.

Pul the door cover off and measure if there is 12v at the motor plug when going up or down on the switch.

If you get 12v then the motor is not working if there isnt 12v then the switch is broken.
