Hey just got a stock S1 R33. I'm looking for a cheap ecu upgrade just like plug and play just until i get more money for a decent one and get a tune.

How are 'Mines' Ecu's?

Also auto and manual have diffrnt ecu's right?

Can I buy a used one and plug it in and drive? Or is there more than that?

Cheers guys. Appreciate the help.

More to it, ecus need to be tuned to your motor and settings, always a risk running someone else's tune. Is your car and auto or manual as they are different and that affects what you can get. If manual something like a power fc or adaptronic select would be great, nistune can be done yet is a stuff around using different ecus either an r32 with rpm switch or a 300's ecu.

base maps are pretty good if you buy a good ecu like a Haltech or Link.

but a full standalone is pretty overkill for a stock car.

whatever you do, don't buy a 2nd hand ECU and try to run it without seeing a tuner first. It could nuke your motor in the first pull if tuned for a dissimilar setup
