Hey guys, sorry if i'm posting in the wrong section of this forum as I am new to it, i got my 1993 R32 gts-t 60th anniversary about a month and abit ago and i think it's time to get modding.

the car is completely stock (rb20) besides a k&n filter and thats it. Ive heard rb20s aren't really good for going over 300hp ish or something like that. I don't really have a budget but I don't really want to be spending much more than a couple of grand if that. I really want to get to as close to 300hp as I can, and not run too much boost as it will probably f*k it up abit, i think 10psi would be the highest id go by what ive driving, knowledge and stuff...

i was pretty much just thinking along the lines of a exhaust sys, tune, little bit higher boost and stuff like that! im very new to this! it is my first car and I want to start fiddling around with it :)

cheers guys, please let me know if i'm posting in the wrong section, sorry in advance if I have!

jack.

couple of things I forgot to mention, my tires are really wide and fat, definitely more than illegal! way past the fenders but Im not gonna buy wide fenders for it just gonna try my luck and not get caught haha, and another thing I really do not want to do is change my turbo, want to keep that stock :)

Well you car is not "completely stock besides K&N filter" then is it? As above mate, everything you want to know about your car is in these forums, happy hunting! Use google to search this site, e.g. "site:sau.com.au rb20 dyno thread".

yeah I know it isn't i forgot to add that stuff in haha, for the time be-ing, i was just thinking exhaust system and a tune..
do you/anyone have any suggestions of a good exhaust? a link to the product would be much appreciated aswell! thanks

jack

I have an rb25 Neo.

I started with

Exhaust

Pod (later changed to hi flow panel filter)

Blitz dual sbc Boost controller (10 psi)

Front mount intercooler

Then:

Nismo fuel pump

Better suspension

Split fire coil packs

Bigger wheels and tyres

Gktech fan

Nissan Water pump

Nissan Timing belt Bearings seals

Hpi evolve radiator 50+mm

Nissan thermostat

In feb:

Id1000 injectors

Nistune

Z32afm

Atr43ss2 turbo

3"metal intake

And I logged religious 5000km services in between.

It took me more than two years lol but I was just worried my motor would fail on me if I just slapped on some mods.

You get the idea though.

nice guys! thanks for the replies! rekin your r32 looks so clean :D
Therealsandybang yeah i get where you're coming from, space the mods out over a period of time instead of slapping them
all on there at once, was the fmic worth it aswell? because that was something else I was considering

In saying that, are fmic's worth it? if I was to get one I could not stand it hanging out like a vl turbo i'd have to
have it tucked away hidding and (black) for the stealth look :) if I could do that easily somehow or get proffesionals to do it

any fmic suggestions for a r32 gtst guys? thanks much appreciated for the feedback!!

Jack

I started off with a cheap Kkr black series intercooler: $400

I've since popped on a blitz return flow $500-600

Do you have a side mount cooler?

It will be nice and responsive and good near early 200rwkw.

But may heat soak in longer spirited runs

The extra piping in a return flow or bigger front mount if you had a side mount may marginally increase lag.

(Correct me if I am wrong?)
