Sorry guys, I'm out. Wasn't a head gasket problem, rather my turbo died on me.

If I can be bothered getting it sorted out before the cruise then count me in.

But at this stage, it's not looking to go that direction.

turbo easier than head gasket.

Turbo has to come off to do gasket anyway....

But I could have added ARP headstuds if I needed a new head gasket, so that was something to look forward too, because who doesnt like new things? lol

remove cam covers.

Remove head bolts.

Install studs.

Refit cam covers.

Doesn't need a blown hg to fit studs.

Do it.

Do it.

Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it.......

Hey guys,

I just had a chat with a mate of mine who is keen on taking his new ride on this run with us.

It's a very rare car ........ 1998 Subaru Impressa WRX STI 22B.

I'm not sure if many of you are up to speed on these but in a nutshell here are the facts.

Only 424 were made worldwide. On the release of the sales, all 400 Japanese units sold out from 30 minutes to 48 hours, depending on the report. Another 24 were produced for export markets—16 for the UK, along with another 5 for Australia, and 3 prototypes.

The Australia cars cost $132,000 complied. This is no ordinary WRX!

You can read a bit more about it here - http://www.motormag.com.au/reviews/0905/legends-1999-subaru-sti-22b/

He doesn't want to tread on toes as he knows it is fundimentally a Skyline group but if he's welcome he'd love to come.

Here are a few pics we took when he bought the car. And yes, the widebody is 100% factory original.

Cheers,

Bob.
