Hi, changed plugs to ngk iridium ix. Now having boost problems. Yes i took several pipes off but have undone them all and re tightened them. If it's a leak shouldnt the turbo still spin up properly just will have lack of boost? Mine is very sluggish and only gets to between 5and 10 psi (should be 13). car still runs abit rough at idle too which is why i changed plugs. Theres a componant in centre top of motor which has two pipes going to it and wires to the boost sensor. what is this? mine is looking corroded. Boost seemed fine before plug change. \

Thanks Brent

Hi, I thought that may have been the case as i was finishing job in dark and unsure of two of the coils! Just reversed them, no good. After replacing plugs i drove to shops - around 1km. downhill and cold motor so i just cruised. No problems at all. then on way back throttled it expecting to hear that loverly turbo sound but only went to 10psi. Still ran ok though without boost. after a couple more runs it's getting worse. Boost very erratic. just had it going uphill on quarter throttle, 2or 3 psi and it's missing badly. took three plugs out and they are badly carboned up. this is after maybe 4km total running. could it be the AFM? I did have all the pipes off it overnight.

Brent

Sounds like an intake leak somewhere. I would be focusing on things you touched before there was a change in behavior. Rig up an attachment so that you can pressurise the intake and see if it drops pressure, then you can track down the leak.
