King of kings
hi. i bought a brand new NISMO twin plat clutch for my r33 gtst from a reputable online dealer in Australia only to open the box and find as if one of the parts had been used. Everything else in the box is brand new and genuine. Iv contacted the dealer only to find they are of no help. Iv attached the pictures to this part not sure what its called. It has stains and scores of scratches. Any help to tell me if this is normal or something is defiantly wrong. thanks heaps Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/453559-opened-new-nismo-clutch-box-to-find-a-maybe-used-part-help/ Share on other sites
GTRPSI
Looks new to me. Did you expect it to look all shiny? Looks like the mating face was surfaced to make sure its flat from the manufacturer, that small mark may be from when it was placed on a table at the manufacturer. Check the other side of the cover, are there imprints of where the bolts were tightened on? Usually something thats simply been prevoiusly fitted (even never started) will leave witness marks on the cover were the bolts go on to tighten it to the flywheel. King of kings
No there are no imprints. But there are several score marks on it. And iv just seen another NISMO clutch today and opened the box and looks very clean and the surface finish looks completely untarnished. Compared to my one. King of kings
Sorry guys. i had the clutch installed and its been running great so far. Still not 100% sure about why the surface was like that & the supplier that i bought it through still didn't have an answer for me.
