i've got a R32 rb20det which used to be auto, but has since been changed to manual.

It also had a wolf3d version 3 in it when i bought the car which i have since replaced with the orginial auto computer that came with the car.

i've read on HERE and a few other places that the timing is actually changed with the auto computers as when a conversion is done the CPU thinks its always in park or neutral changin the timing to 20 and not the 15 which it should be.

is this a bad thing?

should i find another CPU solution? (i wanna get myself a autronic at some point anywayz)

could this be causing my bad cold starts and intermintint miss?

Knocking the timing around isn't usually a good idea - you can bump the base timing back 5 degrees to counter it, but once you get up it, everything will be 5 degrees retarded so performance and fuel economy will suffer.

Putting the Wolf back in (or going for something like a PFC) and having it properly tuned isn't an option?
