By reading that seems like i should maybe do forged pistons and rods if i want 350rwkw .. thought that might be the case

Not entirely accurate... The limit of the engine depends on the supporting mods and most importantly your tuners ability...

I have been running 350+ rwkw on road and track for years with a stock engine and stock headgasket... So do your research and pic your shop/tuner wisely!

Plenty of good ones out there with proven reputations but also plenty of sketchy kents too!
