joeltorpy
Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone knows where I would go in North Brisbane to get a silver rim on the edge of already black rims. My knowledge/experience is very limited. Thankyou in advance, Joel.Like these. Therealsandybang
You're looking for a polished lip? Some wheels are made up of three different pieces. It would be easier if yours was 2 or 3 piece. You could take it to a sprayer but I guess it depends on the wheel. I would imagine if you had a lot of spokes it may be difficult. They may want to remove all the paint and start from scratch Don't live in Brisbane so can't help you there. Good luck. Therealsandybang
Yeah no worries. It's difficult. Try and get them sandblasted and powder coated Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/453820-silver-edge-on-black-rims/#findComment-7479275 Share on other sites

joeltorpy
That looks fantastic. I wouldn't have thought it would be cheaper to get entirely new ones. Mine are currently 20" black 5 spokes but I will ask around. Nismo 3.2ish
What sort of money do they charge for a set? I had the original rims, bronze I think but had the car-yard put some black Lenso's on, after a while I wish I had kept them. Looked around and bought the Advan rims, I think all black needed a lift and got the machined look and love it on a black car But buying rims is a personal thing. So I have a set of Black Lenso 18x10 +22 Project D in very good condition (3000Klms) for sale. Nismo 3.2ish
Love your car and the rims looked pretty good to me, I wonder how they would have looked if you had the spokes sprayed the same colour as your car ? Black on black seems too heavy, still looked good, but? What brand were they and what did you end up selling them for?? joeltorpy
Sinista those rims look great! I do love the polished edge it just defines the rim and seperates the black from the tyre. Powder coaters hey ill ask. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/453820-silver-edge-on-black-rims/#findComment-7480081 Share on other sites
