Hi guys,

I resprayed my car over the christmas holidays, been there done it before and so has the old man. Car was thoroughly prepped and sprayed with 3M Jet Black acrylic paint.

Today I washed the car and noticed white spots all over the car, under the paint. The surface felt rough so I went over it with a clay bar however the white spots remained. I'm just wondering if the paint not curing properly would cause this issue? I should also note that the car has clear coat applied to it as well.

Just after some ideas before I start wet sanding to see if I can get the spots out.

I too am intrigued, I am a automotive spray painter and I cant think what it could be. Are the white dots sticking through the clear? if so perhaps the white dots

are bits of dirt and all you need to do is cut and buff.

Silly question..

Any possibility of contamination of the clear during application? Is this possibly the first time your looking at the paint after a wash in the sun since painting?

Is it a consistent thing all the way around the car or more in some sections then others?

Does sound like a possible chemical overspray from somewhere you parked but if you've clayed it and it's still there It's very strange
