So I've done a fair bit of searching not only on this forum but the American G35/7 sites too but I am still a bit unsure which parts actually fit my car.

I've got a 2009 Nissan Skyline 370GT 5A/T Sedan - so in the US that would be a 2009 Infiniti G37 right?

And I don't have the facelift model with the foggies and new front bumper so any parts that are 2010+ won't fit for sure.

But...the PV36 and KV36 (V36 350GT & V36 370GT) models seem pretty much exactly the same, is it because...they are exactly the same except with a different engine?

So that means their parts would be interchangeable right? Just looking at front lips and diffusers but not 100% on which ones are a direct fit.

Thanks for the help

Edit:

It also seems I have the Sport version which looks like

All 370GT Sedans comes with 7spd gearbox..and they all come with a face lift from the 350GT (2006-2008). The headlights are different and the grille has small wings on all 4 corners.

Only 2009 370GT Coupes have the 5 spd gearbox.

I don't think so. The 7 speed auto didn't come out until later. I have a 2007 370GT SP in auto and it is a 5 speed. And definitely a completely new design over the 350GT.

Hi All,

2009 MY 370GT SP sedan is 7 speed. From the information I have from Japan, all 3.7 sedans are 7 speed. If you definitly have 5 speed, then either the transmission has been changed, perhaps with the 5 speed from coupe, or perhaps it is a 3.5...

And yes G37 sedan is a 2009 onwards Skyline 370GT sedan. Those darn Americans did get a 6 speed manual sedan that was not sold in Japan.

2010 MY on is the big facelift with foglamps in the lower bumper, updated interior with round buttons for heat seaters, USB in the glovebox fir iPod and the hi-res screen...

370GT SEDANS all came with 7 speed a/t

2009 370 COUPES came with the 5 speed a/t

V36 platform came with 350gt (VQ35HR) and 370gt (VQ37VHR). The first batch of V36 was the sedans....with the new hr engines.

okay so in the case somehow mine is apparently not a 370GT, how exactly do i check?

edit: checked my build plate, says it's a KV36 (DBA-KV36), VQ37HR engine, it's been through compliance and is listed as a 370GT 5AT Skyline

keep reading... down the next line, under the VQ37 bit... What is the trans code...

RE7 is the 7 speed, RE5 is the 5 speed...

There is a good chance that your compliance workshop purposely listed your car as 5speed auto as most shops have emissions evidence to do them and very few have the 7speed as they had to be tested again after the earlier 5speed v36's. I know this as some shops in qld do this as the workshop that has the 7speed evidence have not sold it to other shops in qld. Obviously it is the wrong thing to do but if DOTARS don't question and cross check these cars get through compliance anyway

Try this, goto manual mode on either gear shifter or using paddle shifts and see what gear you see when you doing 100km/h on the highway. This will tell you whether u got the 5speed (extremely unlikely) or the normal 7speed that the car is suppose to have.

Also 2009 onwards even the coupes got the 7speed boxes and self healing paint as the new updates that year.
