Short Shifter For A R34 25gt

Hey guys ive been thinking about installing a short shifter in my r34 25gt, what short shifter would i need to purchase to fit the gearbox and what would be the best brand and shifter to buy as ive been looking at the nismo ones,

Nismo. But better still put the money in your savings account for a GTT

The speed of the shift is determined by the ability of he synchros to engage the gear, not the throw of the lever.

Therefore, with a short shifter, the speed is not faster, however the wear on the synchros is higher. Lose lose scenario. And costs money. Lose lose lose.

If you want to get a more solid feel I would recomend the nismo solid shifter it's only a 10% shorter throw but its a solid piece so it will fix the slop in the standard shifter. I really can't see a 10% shorter shifter wrecking your synchros after all my GTT has had a proper short shifter in it for nearly 8 years and the gearbox still works fine.
