Good morning all.

one of my pet hates is a dirty windscren and i spend allot of time trying to keep my daily 32 glass clear.
as with allot of older cars the glass is littered with marks, fine scratches and little nicks.

I have seen people removing these with 0000 steel wool and other polishing methods.
to the guys in the know, before i potentially damage my glass, whats the best method?

yeah i have claybared it before and that gets the usual shit off it. im more interested in removing the small scratches left by the wipers and just by general micro nicks and scratches that the sun picks up.

Did the "how to super clean your windshield" today as I was already detailing my 32/4door.

All glass is crystal clear.

The steel wool does not remove scratches. I still have them on my rear door glass.

Previously I have bought a powder and liquid combo and used my polisher. Took some of the very very minor ones out but not most.

    • Oh damn, I have not switched around any wiring on the harness at all yet. I had my ecu sent off to a tuner to tune for my setup and disable the turbo pressure sensor so there's no more fuel cut. Should I switch the pin around for the ring gear crankshaft position sensor? What types of symptoms would show if something is about to go wrong related to that? thank you
    • pretty much just finished my rb20neo + t and manual swap...let me tell you, it is a pain in the ass the first time. took me almost a year at this point trying to chase down minor issues. But, I think if I was to do it again, I could probably do it with almost 0 problems with how much troubleshooting experience ive gained lmao. So either +T and upgrade the transmission, or just LS swap it and throw in a CD09 lmao. there ya go

    • The small boxes will wear out the input shaft bearings.....if and only if you seriously exceed the torque input that they were designed to handle. It is very common for them to give up after a few years behind bosted RB20s and if you put a 25 turbo in front of them they can't last forever. Behind an NA RB20? Should last forever and ever and ever and ever. If it has died, it is from some sort of mistreatment, or perhaps extremely bad luck.
