R33 Front Bar Fitment And Reo Issues

Recently I purchased a r33 gtr replica front bar for my series 1 r33 and I'm running into issues with fitting it because the stock reo doesn't fit behind it. With out the reo the bar fits perfectly but in the interest of being safe and legal I would rather keep my reo. My question is would a series 2 reo fit any better? Or do I have to get the standard reo modified? I've tried searching google for an answer or a picture of the series 2 reo but I can't seem to find much so hopefully you guys can help me out
