Hey fellas. When one of the long screws coming off the car that go through and hold the wheels onto the car break, what are the options. I'm guessing I would need a new wheel hub or whatever its called. does anyone know the exact name of what i need or how much the part and labour would cost??

Any help greatly appreciated.

You could try welding it back on, but it wont be as strong as a new hub.

Especially if you are churning out alot of power, you dont want the stud breaking again when doing high speed or fast cornering

jeez, hope this advice doesnt come from your mechanic... seems stupid giving advice when you have no idea.

I would just recommend like GunMetalR33 to replace the stud. It i'll only cost you $5 + fitting (any mechanic can do it).

Dave

They are called wheel studs and they are relatively cheap to replace. If one has broken I would replace all 5 as they have probably all been overstressed .....usually from the wheelnuts being overtightened with a rattlegun.
