So I've got a few rock chips here and there on my V36,

Recently purchased touch up from RHD Japan, and it looks good,

But on my first application to a tiny chip on my bonnet, as I am not too good with finesse, I applied slightly too much and ended up spreading it out

Realising it looks like a complete mess, I quickly try to wipe the excess off, leaving smudging and my only thought was to get the cut and polish compound from SuperCheap Auto,

So I got that as quickly as I could and wiped off all the excess and the touch up paint filled the small chip quite alright....problem was the dried paint seemed the scratch/scrape the top coat of paint

I tried to buff and polish it with the SCA cut and polish but it just minimised it, there are still swirls and light scratches, nothing deep, may have gone through the clear coat but as I can't seem to get a good picture on my Galaxy S4, it's not too bad (from far away it's not noticeable)

So any recommendations/advice on what I should do?

Professional detailing? Recommended products?

Thanks everyone

Mxfly - you're a detailer? I'm looking for one to give my V the gold class treatment on the exterior, mostly to be rid of rain spots which my six hour hand process can't manage. I don't trust myself with a buffing machine. :/
