Snapped the little adapter on my front turbo yesterday trying to bolt on a new twin turbo pipe. Ive glued it back together using epoxy but not sure if itll hold given the temps the compressor outlet might reach.

Anyone have a spare they want to offload or know where I can get a replacement (fleabay doesnt have), or anyone think the epoxy would hold? Im booked in for a retune next week but dont want any issues on the day :S

that's a whole lot of wrong going on up there....

The part would be available new or secondhand... new, try Kudos Motorsport... 2nd hand, try any import wrecker.

... funnily enough, gaskets are available too.

STOP USING FKN GASKET MAKER GOOP AND POXY FKN GLUE!!!

or sell your GTR cheap to someone who will appreciate it.

Cheers

the pics above only show the goo, I was however using it with the gasket (the stuff smudged everywhere when I was pulling off the pipe).

dont think silicone is heat resistant enough to withstand the temps the turbo outlet would experience

I hope that the silicone you used was oxygen sensor safe stuff.

The other thing is......a gasket on those surfaces would not likely need ANY sealant, and if I was to use sealant I wouldn't use silicone. There are many proper gasket selants out there, all of them 100x better than silicone.

Exactly, I hate using silicone sealant with gaskets so I use some different products that are much better and safe for oxygen sensors.

There is silicone products that is heat resistant up to almost 300 degrees which is plenty but in my opinion there are better sealants out there with much less mess.
