Deleting Water Lines

Just at the final stages of putting rb30 into my r32 and I have just installed my Freddy plenum, and wanted to know if I can delete the hard water pipes that attach to bottom of plenum ? Thanks

That plays a big role in directing hot coolant forward to the top hose.

I understand what you mean, will it give me issues if I were to block them ?

It will probably slow down coolant flow enough to cause a hot spot and either warp or crack the head.

edit: The top section of the manifold is primarily for bleeding air from the system and offers very little coolant flow to the top hose.

Yep pretty stupid to get rid of it to be honest. ZD30's don't have them and are notorious for doing headgasket a due to overheating.

I guess I will try find one then, any idea if the rb20 one can be made to fit ?

rb20 bolt pattern is different. I'm sure someone has an old rb25 manifold lying around with one. Just put up a WTB or search parts for sale.

Ahh yep. I knew it was one of the patrol engines just forgot exactly which ones.
