C34 Dash Lens Colour

Hi Guys

I'm trying to work out the colour of the lens in the dash of a C34. I want to replace the bulbs with LED's. It might be obvious to some of you but I'm asking because have colour blindness and have difficulty distinguishing red from brown, red from orange, red from purple as well as some other colours.

I want to match the LED as close as possible to the lens colour.

Not sure what you mean by lens. The cluster is covered by a clear plastic sheet - you can use any leds you like.

Sorry, I mean the gauge cluster. Light bulbs behind are very dim and I can barely read the speedo at night. So i thought I'd upgrade to LEDs rather than replace bulbs. But as coloured LEDs have a specific wavelength I want to match as close as possible to the coloured lens on the gauges.

As Kiwi said, Spud, the lens will allow you to change to whatever coloured LED bulb you want as it's clear. I've changed mine to blue and it's quite bright as the LED are far brighter than the old bulbs.

If you mean something else, take some pictures so we can understand better.

Thanks for that. I was under the impression the lens was coloured. In daylight , to me, it appears to have some colouring that i couldn't identify.

Nah, it shouldn't do, unless someone has coloured it. It should be clear, and show clear no matter what colour you put behind it.
