I need a set of standard shockies to pass an inspection.

Does anyone have a set to sell to me?

Or what other model Nissans are the same as the 02'-06' 350GT Sedan that I could buy from eBay & Repco?

Many thanks in advance for the info... A+

Greatly Appreciated.

Do you have the shockie strut mounts for the Skyline 350GT Sedan as well but AsM?

And were you wanting to sell them or hire them out incase you need them back when you sell or trade your car in?

sorry not sure what u mean by shockie strut mounts? do you mean the tops that attach the top part of the strut to the car?

Yes those ones.

Like this eBay item #230841054853 from UK.

How much for yours if you hire them or sell them to me?

I am trying to figure out the Left & Right sides from the rear set of shock absorbers.

Part Numbers are: 3212 56210CD021 & 3211 56210CD021

Anyone know the answer?

All sedans take the same suspension 250/300/350GT manual or Auto are all the same.

Did the manuals (and maybe option on the auto), have 'sports' suspension with red tokico shock absorbers and firmer springs? where as the standard shocks were black.

I am fairly sure the rears are identical. there is nothing different between left and right.

Fronts are different though!

Yes I think you might be right Greg as they had nothing different.

Wherase the fronts only goes in one way!

Adelaide Regency inspection ready!!! :)

SA Regency Inspection failed me on Friday even with the stock suspension installed because it was used & not in near new condition.

Which resulted in it sitting 9mm lower than normal! :(

The Brisbane SAU Member sold me 350Z Suspension ($578), not the 370GT Suspension as we agreed on...

Hope PayPal can fix him up a little bit!!!

Anyway I failed the Full Roadworthy last Friday morning on the Middle Seat Child Restraint Bolt not being present (BOSE Sound System is in the way).

Tint was too dark at the front (even though I asked for darkest legal tint, work that out)!!!

Rear ride height is sitting too low (9mm) from minimum allowable.

HID bulbs (which was the only thing I was afraid of failing on)!!!

And to top it off the Import Factory in SA hasn't got my Model Coil Springs!!! :(

So I can't do nothing to pass SA anymore...

Did some quick research:

http://www.raa.com.au/documents/motoring-window-tinting-factsheet

Front windscreen The front windscreen of a vehicle must have a luminous transmittance (or visible light transmission) of at least: 75% for a motor vehicle built after 1971; 70% for any other vehicle. The windscreen must not be coated in a way that reduces its luminous transmittance in any part of the top of the windscreen wipers’ sweep or the upper 10% of the windscreen; whichever is the lesser.

Meanwhile in NSW we are not allowed to tint the front windscreen AT ALL. Seriously why tint the front anyway?

HID always has issues because if your car does not have washers and adjustable projecting equipments, even if HID is stock it will still be against the law.

:) I assumed he meant front side windows.. not windscreen.

When you said you got '350z suspension' do you mean springs as well? as they will drop a sedan about 25mm all round.

And at $578 it would want to be in awesome condition!

Does the factory glass have some amount of tint in it? as that plus T35 film will make it too dark.

I believe they have "UV cut glass", which I presume is a buzzword for inbuilt tint of some type. The side windows seem pretty dark anyway, and I don't believe mine are tinted...

    • Breather for it. If it's anything like the GTRs it should run up to the top of a bellhousing bolt.
    • What basics? With these OBD1 ECUs it's not like the ECU will give you any real clues, it's not really doing any sanity checking of sensors/sensor data. My experience is actually a lot of sensors tend to be the source of the issue first and foremost, and checking everything gives you a direction to investigate. MAF/O2/STFT/LTFT should all kind of make sense. You can try little tricks of the trade like tapping the MAFs to see if it triggers a stumble, things like that. But once you've done a compression test knowing whether you have an air leak or fuel delivery problem is kind of hard to narrow down without sensor data. And you don't really know if all your sensors are making sense unless you can interrogate the ECU directly about what it's seeing for sensor data.
    • Absolutely this. Yes, except not vacuum hose. Something oil/fuel safe is a better idea.
    • Like a Stagea, but not as cool! Hope you have enough garage space for this, or is something going to leave to make way for it?
    • The new project has arrived. I have wanted one of these for such a long time, well before that meathead Clarkson drove one in Africa. I really wanted an E34 but I have some medical issues that mean I *really* can't bump my head and the lack of airbags in the E34 made it just too big of a risk.  I don't know why I've always liked these older touring BMW's to be honest, but man I love this car. She's been pretty well maintained for her 243k's with what appears to be only a single oil leak at the oil filter housing gasket. It has a bunch of updates including later model bumper and headlights, 7 series billion-way adjustable seats and it came with a few spares and another set of wheels with legal tyres. I got a unregistered car permit from the RTA and drove it back from Canberra on Saturday.                   First cab off the rank is cleaning it up for blue slip. I dont know how picky they'll be but I figured I'd clean the headlights, fix the oil filter housing gasket, replace the speed sensors (throwing errors) and swap the OE wheels (the M Sport wheels have a big chunk out of one of the tyres.) I also need to replace all 6 gas struts - 2 for bonnet, 2 for hatch and 2 for hatch glass. The car tries to eat me whenever i open any of these. My plan for this car; Ultimately, this is a budget car. I can't afford to throw lots at it and its because I have another car that I got this, if something breaks its no big deal. I will just maintain and repair it really. But eventually I want to do a manual conversion. It actually looks pretty straight forward for E39's and the trickiest part will be sourcing the parts.  I do need to replace some suspension arms or bushes because wow, she's a floaty old girl. She's also fantastically slow. Like really, really slow. When pulling back out on to the freeway on Sat after a quick pull over I needed to wait until no cars were visible before going.  Oh, and the guy I bought it from had a gorgeous R31 GTS-X in the garage.
