Righto so in about to put the engine back In the car and I want to clean out the old oil from the cooler.

The oil isn't contaminated, just old

What's the best solvent and way to clean it?

I have brakeclean, carby clean, a parts cleaner tub.. But not sure of the safest and best way to do it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Cheapest way is do a couple of rinses with thinners. Brake and carby cleaner can be bloody expensive. Slosh them around, dump and refill until it comes out reasonably clean.

Just be sure to let it drain and dry enough before installing.

Sweet thanks lads

I ended up running brake clean though it as I have a big drum of it.

Then blew it out with air and ran some clean oil all the way through it.

New oil came out super clean too.

Thanks for the help
