It will last provided he isn't out doing silly launches with it. I think there is more low end in your setup too Pete.

The 6466 I have isn't all that larger than your 6266, but I am making about 130kw more at 4000 than you. This is with the intake cam advanced about 5-6 degrees too, to maximize mid range. I'd wager that your cylinder head porting is a fair bit more aggressive than mine too. Not to mention your bad ass high lift unigroup cams vs my Tomei 272 pro cams which are technically a mid range cam.

Yeah he said there was more left low end and will go for it when it is back together.

450kw @ 4000rpm, must feel great, what is it full throttle , love to see you Dyno run, mad :woot:

Hope Fatz has not put the mocca on me, I had to stop driving it until I put it in to find the leak , so there was nothing too hard after the last tune. I am pretty soft on the changes most of the time, so ??

No head work except 1mm oversize ST Valves

Even if I wanted I could not get anymore out of it, turbo and injectors were close to maxed

Had a look at your Video, great result

Just remember Pete, response is just a gear change away. :D

Not when you are in 1st.

Launching at the lights and running around town at 6000+rpm draws a little unwanted attention, lol :)

haha, same old story, single or twins , trouble is I do not know how the twins would go, I have seen some results on the web and they do look pretty impressive.

A lot of blokes seem to go to a single and love them, did see one bloke go back to twins. I have a single on a 3.2l , not a 2.6l and it goes pretty good, (320kw at 4000rpm) , well the last time I drove it, lol

I do not need more power, I just want to see the graph difference in tunes from dialling the cams for HP and Torque ?

Single is awesome you'll love it.

So easy to work on and limitless really. Good luck with it all tho ;)

Sounds like a clutch issue more than anything Pete.

Anyway I hope you get the car back the way you want it, and have many, many trouble free years of destroying the road.

haha, no , I am talking about how my car was when I first bought it, it was hideous heap of crap, 338awkw but nothing happened until after 6000rpm+ , it was being built for track etc, with a T78 and OS quad clutch, no fun on the street.

It is really great to drive now, well , not now, when it was going, just needed a bucket of water, lol

Needs more vcam and ls1

V8 , yummy , but only around 5.7 LT , and with the straight 6 there is no more room for it, what about the boot, should fit ??

V-Cam, yummy, would 2 be better than 1 ?

So what's the story Pete, any news or updates?

Most of the work has been done and I have just received the report. Then , maybe the real "final tune", lol

I informed the builder it had been proven that the problem was caused at the time of the build but I have had no reply as yet and I will send the report to them today and see what they say.

It was a massive job that included pulling the motor out, the leak was found but not proven where it was coming from except from the main bearing, then sent to a motor builder where extensive work was carried out, head and block underwent all of the tests and came back OK. A camera had to be used to look into some areas that were hard to get to and the problem was found and finally fixed.

I have a feeling it is going to get very messy.

Well that's all good then Pete, found the problem, found the cause and not far away until you can enjoy it.

Hmmm found but not proven and leak from the main bearing doesn't make sense, but you probably cant elaborate at this stage, but when you can will be good to know as it was an interesting one thats for sure.

Either way its good that it is being fixed.

Good luck mate.

No mate you must have missed it, I said it "was" proven to have been done during the 3.2 build and there could be NO other reason for the ongoing leak.

Just have to give the builder a fair go and see what happens.

I do not feel I should have to pay to get the job done again, paid enough already :/

It sucks to go through what you have endured. Especially when you haven't taken any short cuts and forked out the hard earned dosh. At least very soon you will be able to finally enjoy your fine vehicle and the past can become a distant memory. Hopefully you can get some sort of reimbursement on the costs of the f*#k up. Good luck.
