Any updates ??

Nothing yet, not sure what to expect ?

I have asked to have the cam advanced for response without worrying about what it does to the top end.

It was suggested that with my set up , it would tune close to what I want on E85 but unfortunately that would only be used when available and that would not be too often. I want it to be as good as he can get it on 98 pump?

So I will wait and see how it turns out :/

V-Cam ?

Does it ever end when you chase a dream :yes::no: ?????

Mercedes are so over rated, my oldman has had E and C class... the amount of times they've been in for repairs  he's going back to Jap built cars, the last straw was when the sunroof dislodged the whole roof limning assembly on the C230, just out of warranty too. Some of thier engines are nice but as whole they're not as good as they once were.

This is where you're a bit wrong. It should read 'they weren't as good as they used to be but they've rediscovered themselves and are now awesome again. Your old man has an old model car. C230's were a fair while ago. I'm massively biased (I'm sales manager for an MB dealership) but the current product is incredible. We've got the new model C63S sitting on the showroom at the moment and it's a work of art! The twin turbos sit in the Vee of the engine and looks amazing. Everyone needs to do themselves a favour and go into a dealership just to hear one start up and rev. They have a bi-modal button that when you press turns a great sound into a sound you would happily donate your left testicle for. Seriously!

You forgot to mention how the early C63s head studs corrode and they loose coolant, and eventually do the headgaskets.

Only took 3 years for them to rectify that one...

On a serious note, yeah, they are cool cars. I thourghly enjoyed monstering a CLA45 on the track. In a straight line those little turbos are mighty impressive.

Ha ha, yeah I'm not going to say the current fleet are perfect until they prove themselves but compared to the 80's, 90's and up till 2013ish models, they are a huge leap forward in terms of styling, build quality and handling.

Our DP got to attend the AMG GT and C63S launch at Bathurst 2 weeks ago. He's not a car nut but he was amazed. Flogging AMGs at 270km/hr down Conrod straight is enough to convert any non car lover!
