So, theres a few of us here who no longer have Japanese vehicles, so, lets see what you've got!

I have two VWs; a B6 TDI Passat wagon and a Bora 4Motion V6.

Both cars are very cool, I love them! The Bora has a surprising amount of squirt (150kw) and handles really well (I put Bilstein B8's in it.) The Passat is less lumber-like that I thought it would be. Its still very 'soft' in how it goes about things, but thats what makes it a perfect family car. Its totally unexciting. :)

I'll post pics soon.

I see why you were interested in the V8 Passat! :P

Yep! I love my 'dubs.

I considered selling my Bora (the daily commuter) and getting a B5.5 W8 Passat but they were SO thirsty and were slower than my Bora, though would have had some 'wow' appeal. :D

The W8 engine is an interesting design. I came across this video on youtube if you're interested.

My collection of European automobiles

"Yellow" isn't mine, just had it on loan for a while. The RS265 (& RS275) is the best hot hatch I have ever driven. The hype is justified! Drive one and see for yourself.

Sadly I sold "The Bee" (named by my eldest son due to the yellow and black/carbon colour theme) to make way for more practical transport and to free up some cash for other projects.

Cheers Prank [emoji106]

I miss The Bee. I modified it to APR Stage 2+ level with 260kW and 460Nm - produced just shy of 215kW at the front wheels. Had the DSG software upgraded too, so if was even quicker through the gears. I never got a chance to run it over a quarter but it was certainly capable of a 12sec pass and over 110mph.

I have tweaked my RS Sport Cup mildly (dump, intake, tune, boost) so it produces a bit over 200kW and about 380-400. Stock they make 165kW and 300Nm. But it's forte is through corners.

Just a 90tsi manual, goes ok and its fuel efficient as hell, mixed driving with fair bit of heavy throttling and it does 700 to a tank.

Had this for 6 weeks in Europe.

Drove heaps, done many kms on Autobahn best I've managed was 248km/h until I hit traffic, drove it in Nurburgring Nordscheleife for 8 laps, did heaps of twistes around UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

I actually don't mind the base Cup seats. They aren't anywhere near as impressive as the Recaros but they hold you in place when you're punting the car hard better than you'd think.

I am going to get my hands on a RS275 Trophy R in the next year or so. Totally impractical but ridiculous amounts of fun!

OZ spec version gets A/C, Bluetooth, audio etc standard.
