Hey all.

RB25 neo head, RB30 bottom end. Hypergear SS2 on 6boost high mount and 45mm turbosmart gate (7psi spring) venting to atmo. 3" staino exhaust with single muffler. Turbosmart Eboost Street Boost controller with 3 port solenoid.

Reading the turbosmart manual there is two ways to set up the boost controller. I am

Currently running method 1 and it is pretty lazy coming onto boost. Wondering if there would

Be any advantage trying out method 2 to see if can pick up a little bit better spool?

Will be going back to tuner with a little stiffer gate spring, dial the cams in for area under the curve and possibly change my boost controller config.

Cheers

Current config is 265kw at 10psi and 294 at 13.5psi.

I would ideally like to run make maybe 280ish kw low and 320-30 kw high boost. I think maybe 12-13psi low boost and maybe 16-18 high should get me in the ballpark.

As I don't want to run huge boost I don't want a gate spring that is too stiff, but that causes a little more lag. So I though maybe get a stiffer spring 12-13psi and then run more boost but the tuner can really relax the timing/fuel so it makes easy power while still coming onto boost quickly?

I would be happy to go to a 4 port solenoid if you think it will be advantageous.

I really don't know why people want two boost levels when you can regulate boost with your right foot... and I don't know abut "relaxing the timing" I always thought that you want as much advance as it takes to make it go best.

I have a boost controller that can have two set levels so may as well. And yeah I kinda f**ked up when I went 25/30. Didn't realise how much extra torque it would come with. At anything over 300kw it will absolutely destroy tyres and that's just a bill I can't afford. So trying to keep power pretty tame.
