Hey had this split the other day ..started pissing out coolant. Once it stopped I replaced it with a similar hose. Just wondering what does it do? Is it a heater hose? Can I block it if I'm deleting the heater?

It joins up with the factory coolant hard lines for the twin turbo setup that travel along the top of the heat shields to the back of the head (splitting down into the turbos also).

Also didn't you create another thread about deleting the heater and it was suggested by multiple people to just replace the hose(s).

Unless you're pulling the entire loom/engine out and building a dedicated track car I don't see the point in deleting it as if you need to use it on for a registered car its required.

Right so there not heater hoses thanks. Btw you don't have to have a heater in the car for it to be registered just something that can demise the windscreen. And there are other options for that. The way I look at it is that my car is driven more on the track then it is on the street so couldn't care for a heater or airconditioning as the whole time I have owned it I have never turned either on.

FFS. The heater hoses are clearly and easily findable from the two points, right next to each other, where they pass through the firewall. From there you can follow them to where they go on the engine with a torch, an uncrossed pair of eyes and maybe a pair of fingers to follow them where they might pass out of sight. On lesser RBs they both pass immediately behind the head and then into the mess of coolant plumbing under the back end of the plenum. The details will be different on the 26, but the general route will be the same.
